Dev Logs
It was kind of a long day at work today, but I was able to make some progress. I worked out a platformer controller using Pefeper’s Making a Better Jump1 and Mokarrom Hossain’s Double Jump2 and Coyote Jump3 videos. I also implmented a movable platformer using the Kids Can Code recipe4.
To meet the goal of making a game for May, I have about 6 days from writing this post to finish. I also had to pick up some extra shifts at work, so realistically I will have about 3 days to finish. So with limited time, I’m making a Mario clone platformer.
This is about the 3rd time I have decided to update this blog site and tried to stick to a development goal. During May I’m trying to do two things. I am trying to make a game using Godot 4 and update this site.
You’ll find this post in your _posts directory. Go ahead and edit it and re-build the site to see your changes. You can rebuild the site in many different ways, but the most common way is to run jekyll serve, which launches a web server and auto-regenerates your site when a file is updated.
